University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) provides innovative and unique undergraduate and graduate programs. Designed to meet students’ interests and career aspirations, UOIT’s courses also provide innovative research and technological skills demanded by the world’s leading employers.
UOIT approached ChangeMakers to help develop curriculum and resources for their Social Marketing and Public Health course. We provided input on the name, learning objectives, content and materials for the course. Our contribution also included a case study on our SAFE Youth 2014 marketing campaign, as well as accompanying videos focused on the challenges and solutions that arose while developing and implementing the campaign.
The course has since been evaluated favourably and has resulted in a paper to be presented at the Innovations in Technology, Education and Design (INTED) conference in Valencia, Spain in March 2016.
