ChangeMakers has been working with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries (Manitoba Liquor Control Commission before the 2012 merge with Manitoba Lotteries Corporation) for approximately 15 years. Together we have developed a series of social responsibility programs and messages while winning a number of international awards, including a Gold Quill Merit award in 2015 for the full suite of programs and awards for specific campaigns: Bronze Remi Award – Television Commercial, Public Health – More Than a Hangover; 23rd Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards
Gold – Health Promotion Program – Be Undrunk; Gold – Television Advertising/Single Spot – Blacking Out; Bronze – Website/Home Page – beundrunk.com (MLCC); and Be the Influence Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award in the category: Education Marketing, 2015.
We developed a suite of programs and messages to promote MBLL’s commitment to responsible alcohol consumption: Be With Child Without Alcohol about consuming alcohol while pregnant; Be Undrunk focussed on young adults and binge drinking; and Be the Influence highlighting parents’ role in influencing their children’s views on alcohol.
