Brandon University (BU) is Manitoba’s third-largest university. In 2012, ChangeMakers developed a creative concept and materials for the University’s capital campaign, BUILD 2020. The goal of the campaign was to raise $22 million to support three pillars of BU’s strategic plan: building a new Healthy Living Centre; enhancing and expanding scholarship and bursary funds; and creating programs to support Aboriginal student success.
We created a “build” wordmark that reflected the energy and possibilities of undergraduate education, and developed a campaign plan focussed on highlighting BU graduates who exemplified the goals of the capital campaign – healthy living, academic excellence and Aboriginal achievement. The BUILD website promoted alumni and student success stories as well as progress updates from the capital campaign.
The Healthy Living Centre opened in 2013, and Brandon University established seven new scholarship and bursary endowments in 2012.
